Our Story
Steel City Cellars is a family-owned and operated vineyard, inspired by the work ethic of our founder's father, the intelligence and faith of his mother, and the ethos of the Steel City, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Our product will be the culmination of hard work and a passion for the land we grow on. Built on tradition, our wine is estate-grown and produced in limited quantities. Steel City Cellars was created to bring families together to show them the passion of our Steel City way of life.
Our two bedroom luxury home is now available for rent! The home can comfortably accommodate six people whether that be a family or group of friends out to enjoy a Paso Robles wine weekend. Guests have the option to request a complementary vineyard tour and wine experience personally delivered by the founder and winemaker Frank Blumling.

With a commitment to sustainability, our focus is to improve the microbiome of the soil surrounding our vines to minimize water consumption and nutrient requirements while enhancing the quality and flavor of our grapes.

Our Wines
In 2022, we replanted 3.5 acres of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals. In 2014, 1 acre of Tempranillo vines were planted, that will continue to be harvested for future years. All our grapes continue to be handpicked by Frank and his team.
In the years to come, our youthful vineyard will be producing 20 tons of high quality grapes. Frank will personally be selecting a small quantity of these grapes to produce 2000 bottles per year for Steel City Cellars Estate bottled wines. The first release will be March of 2025. These wines will be limited edition vintages, handcrafted in limited quantities. Our vineyard's unique terroir yields grapes of exceptional quality, resulting in wines that are truly one-of-a-kind. Each bottle is a testament to our founder's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality; ensuring that each sip encapsulates the essence of our land and our Steel City way of life.
